Beans not softened in crock pot after 12 hours!

BucksMama | Oct 7, 201910:28 AM     5

After reading all the previous comments (from 2015), I have decided to take my hard beans and soup out of crock and put into pot on stove and boil then let cool; if that doesn't work, I'll try the microwave. The soup is so tasty - what as shame the beans are such a big disastrous disappointment!!!! We have been getting lots of great smells and our mouths have been watering for a great pot of pinto beans with cornbread or bolillos (like short hobo buns)!!! And, how in the world do you determine if your beans are old or not???
