I just moved from Wayland to Kirkland Village (between Harvard Sq. and Union Sq.), and am jumping-out-of-my-pants happy to now be living across the street from from KT&T and Bergamot instead of a 5-minute drive from Bertucci's and bad Chinese. But I wasn't expecting to find excellent takeout pizza just around the corner. Apparently this used to be a Dial-A-Pizza, but became Beacon St. Pizza a year or two ago. It's thin-crust NYC style, not on a par with the NE Regina's, but I'd rate it alongside Armando's on Huron. The service is great-- friendly and prompt--and at only 2 bucks for a huge, delicious slice, I'm not missing my big, suburban kitchen a bit. I thought I'd post since I never knew it was there. It's set back from the street, behind The Wine and Cheese Cask, although now that the weather is warmer they've put some tables outside. Also, I don't want it to ever close!
