This is my first trip to NOLA and my partner's 2nd (though the last time he was there, it was just post Katrina and he was in high school). We are coming from Brooklyn where we've lived for 10+ years and this is our first trip away from our 1-year old.

We are spending 2 full days and 3 nights. I've done a bit of research and we are planning on Cochon Butcher, possibly Shaya, and Coquette. Willie Mae's is a must. Cane & Table the night we arrive. We are staying in the Lower Garden Dist. and I have a swamp tour planned for Friday morning and am planning to visit a cemetery or two.

Can you help recommend:
1. A great oyster happy hour
2. What to do on Halloween day/night? This is a favorite holiday for us but we are not huge into partying so something not too crazy/loud would be ideal. A fun music venue or bar - preferably in an area that we can walk around and hit other places. FQ is a no-brainer I guess but I'm looking for something more off the beaten path.
3. The best spot to get po' boys - Domilise's is on the list, am I on the right track?
4. Anything else I'm missing in terms of sightseeing, NOLA-only shops, eats, etc?

I am leaving Saturday pretty open, and we are leaving early Sunday morning.

Thanks!
