if you haven't tried this store, you really need to. second generation family pork store, they make superb italian, thin or regular links,; with fennel,; and their best , my fave, with provolone cheese...awsome on the grill. they also sell fresh mozzarell and ricotta...and thats about it. but really fresh made-daily sausages...i just bought 3lbs cheese and 2lbs hot for a family get together tonight...warning : go early on weekends...the cheese will sell out by 11am sometimes....also not far is rose and joes bakery for some crusty bread to go with your sausage and louies vegetable store for peppers and onions next to joe's. a true neighborhood specialty, astoria was once filled with stores like these, but they are disappearing...check it out before they're all gone
boun appetit
