BBQ in NoVA - Texas Jacks vs. Liberty

MikeR | Mar 19, 201904:27 AM     1

I'm taking a friend to dinner who recently returned to this area after living in the San Francisco Bay area for 50 years. He knows Oakland BBQ and "Western" BBQ and I've had both with him out there - good stuff. Now he lives in Annapolis where the closest thing to BBQ he's found is a Famous Dave's.

So I thought I'd take him to somewhere nearby where I've had good (to my taste, anyway) BBQ a few times within the last year or so. Any opinions about the consistency of what comes out of those two kitchens? I've never been dissatisfied with meals in either place, but sometimes the same thing is better than others. I've had brisket and pulled pork at both places, but I've not yet had ribs at Liberty.
