Its this place called "Mom's BBQ" at the corner of Hazeltine & Vanowen in Van Nuys. It is in a strip mall of all places. Its in the corner. Rip tips are awesome. Sides are awesome.

I tried Bear Pit "Missouri Style" bbq and thought it sucked.

A close second is this place called J.R's in the ??? Culver City ??? area - Its like Jefferson and La Cienega. If you aren't looking for it you'll zoom past it. Its a yellow building with cheap paintings of meat painted on the side. All meat is killer here. Potato salad and mac N cheese some of the best simple sides.

I haven't been impressed with bbq from places like Claim Jumpers, Applebees, etc. Not at all actually.

I grew up eating Gates & Son's BBQ all the time. Anyone from K.C. knows all of the locations there always have a line and people still are willing to pay $15 for a sandwich thats 5 inches thick or tips. The best tips are definitely Arthur Bryant's, but not enough of them around in KC.

HI MAY I HELP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
