BBQ

I have been on an eternal hunt for decent bbq in L.A. I have been to Mr. Cecil's (Good Ribs, terrible sides), Zeke's (Again, Good Ribs, terrible sides), and I have tried The Pig on La Brea. My experience at the Pig wasn't great but maybe it was an off day. The ribs at Houstons were also decent but I'm tired of paying $20+ for slab of ribs. I have never been to Wood Ranch because I am wary of chains. I am curious to hear opinions on all and I would love any other suggestions...Is there anywhere that I won't have to pay $20+ for slab of ribs? Who has the best briscut and pulled pork?
