Bayport BBQ - New Restaurant Review (Unable to post as such. Their locaion is the former Bayport Cookery and Chowhound hasn't been updated.)

Bayport BBQ opened in the former Bayport Cookery location this past fall. I've visited many times since and it just keeps getting better and better. I brought a group of nine to dinner last night. Chef Chris bent over backwards to give us a sample of almost the entire menu. Yowsers! We left stuffed and very satisfied!

We sampled the pickles, chicken salad, sourdough bread, brisket (OMG!), chicken off & on the bone, turkey, ribs (LOVED the ribs!), potato salad (much improved), coleslaw (perfect), fettuccine (too bland), cheesy potatoes (also, bland and a bit oily), coffee cake (To die for!), and pecan pie (ALMOST as good as the coffee cake;-) For drinks, lemonade and sweet tea. Kudos to the chef(s). The meal was outstanding and the service as amazing as ever!

Each of us paid $15 for EVERYTHING (incl. drinks, dessert, and tip!) VERY reasonable. Also, they do offer acoustic music on most Sundays and, occasionally, other days of the week. They do have a website but it's best to find them on Facebook (!/pages/Bayp...)
