When I lived in LA, this old neighbor of ours (not neccessarily wise, just old) used to say:
"I may not have ALL the answers, but I certainly have a LOT of the questions."
If so, here's a question ...
San Francisco Bay to Breakers. Just you and 80,000 or so of your closest friends out for a Sunday morning stroll across the width of the City.
Any good dining spots along the way?? I know it's early, but some places in the Hayes Valley could do good business, Moishes's Pipic, etc. I grab a Levy's bagel down by the starting line. Afterwards, I usually end up raiding the aisles of Safeway.
I've gone the past six years. My wife is usually out of town at her sales conference. This year it was moved up.
So I thought we might go in costume. But my Big Red put the ki-bosh on my idea.
I told her my vision. I pictured her in camouflage pants and a green t-shirt. I would be in flesh colored unitard, with a bag over my head. And we would be: the Abu Ghraib Prison wrestling team.
Back to the food. Where would you eat before, during, or after. Cheers, Chow-ers. Ciao. -- Big Stu
