Thanks to you from an L.A. chowhounder. I took myself up north for a road trip and consulted the S.F. postings which led me to ...
1) Martha & Brothers for fine coffee in the morning. Perhaps better than Peet's, and light years over You-Know-Whobucks.
2) U-Lee for potstickers! These were the best I've ever had. And the roast pork chow fun was fab.
3) Tadich's for cioppino. I hadn't been there for years, and it was great. I got in just after noon, and the walls were packed with people waiting for a table. But I was whisked to an avalable seat at the counter. This place will always be a great S.F. memory for me.
So thanks again for your postings. And if you get to U-Lee's, ask the waitresses if they ever got to Sushi Nozawa in L.A.
