Lunch at Bastide yesterday was incredible. We really didn't expect it to be as good as the hype, but it was, if not better. We shared Oysters done 3 ways, Crab and Melon Cannelloni, Lobster Salad in Martini glass. Then for the main courses , Giant Dover Sole (deboned at the table), and awesome Veal Daube. Now for desert, a Vahrona Choc asst(very good), and a Lavender Ice Cream with Meringue and Strawberrys. We expected the cost of food to be in the Stratsphere but the food cost was only about 150- for 3 which for this type of dining seemed more than fair. Wonderful Wine list, all French. We're looking forward to going for dinner soon.
