Friends has been talking, reviews had been raging. Finally I got a reservation. Quite surprised there was no wait list offered when I had previously called. Most restaurants with any sort of buzz will have a wait list created for the hype. Upon arrival, a meek, strange girl greets me, looks at a clipboard and tells me I have 1 hour and 45 minutes for a party of 3. Would have been nice to have known that when I had made the reservation. We sit down in our uncomfortable chairs and look at the sparse menu. We choose a Syrah off the menu to start. The server brings the wine out and it is obvious he has never done fine dining with wine. Twisting the bottle around, almost putting it on the table for leverage. For the money we are paying, we should have better service. As for the food, my fish was overcooked, and heavily salted. I can feel the stare from the girl who greeted us, almost willing us to get out in time. I tried to ignore it, but I guess it trickled down through our waiter, We grab the check without dessert because we felt so uncomfortable. For the drive, it was not worth the wait. Most restaurants with twice the hype make you feel less rushed. We probably won't be back.
