Basalmic scotch

OK, I know this sounds wierd... but having bought a bottle of staggeringly expensive basalmic vinegar in Italy, my dad decided to taste some in his (blended, I assume) scotch - and pronounced it delicious!
I have no idea what impelled him to try this out - but if it becomes a famous drink, you read it here first!
(I have the same vinegar but have no scotch - and so have not tried the mixture - all I can report is that the vinegar is thick and sweet and grapey, so maybe it ain't so wierd after all...)
