Today's column in Inky by Michael Klein (still on the www.phillynews.com site in case you missed it. Mentioned a few restaurants which have mid week price fixe bargins. The most expensive is KC Prime, but you all know how I feel about owner Derek Davis customer satisfaction quotient.
Michael mentioned this is a way to fill empty seats mid week and get the word out.
Since we just had string re: Overtures $20.02 bargain, I wrote and mentioned he missed it and might want to check it out. He replied: ". Please realize that today's column was just to make the point about
the rise of prixe fixe dinners. I could not list every prix-fixe out there,
and I have no intention of revisiting them in that context."
I replied to Michel that I thought it was a great service he was providing and hopefully he would list Overtures and other that we can use. (Personnally, I enjoy knowinging how big a tip celebrities are leaving but would rater he use the space for info for we diners to use. I read his column religiously. Between his and the two Restaurant news columns in Phila. Weekly and City Paper, I get more useful news than what's passing as restaurant reviews in these papers. (My chief complaint is lack of prices of what they ate!)
