Newly opened american chain on Dundas just west of Bay. The place smelled new. I thought it was a fast food order at the counter type place, instead it has table service. I tried the standard burger ($11.25) with a side of fries ($3.80) and a pint of Creemore ($9.00, but it was 20 oz). The burger was moderately sized and had an appropriate meat to bun ratio. It was a brioche bun. The meat was juicy, pink and had a hint of a cumin based spice mix. I had to wash my hands when I was done. Pickles were nice, looked and tasted home made. Ketchup on offer is Sir Kensington, which is not a favourite of mine, so I asked of some mayo for the fries. The fries were crispy, golden and properly seasoned.
Gabardine and the Queen and Beaver do bigger and better burgers but those are both $19. The fries at Bareburger are better than both of those. In fact, they were pretty awesome fries. Even though Bareburger wouldn't make my top ten burgers, it is a pretty good burger. The menus is extensive and maybe the other items are worth trying. They also have that free-range, hormone and anti biotic free meat thing going on.
