Ok,
Did not have dinner. Went with Hubby to have drinks and Apps. Room is very old world. Original Black/White Deco Tile actually looks good. Bar is the old Barclay if you older hounds recall it.
The Menu features Kobe beef (servers did not know difference between Jap or American). Apps were not bad. 2-2 oz Kobe "sliders" were $14 and had great beef flavor, carmalized onions and a nice homemade catsup. Tuna and beef tartare were only $12 and no egg, nice flavor both served with homemade tater chips. Shrimp cocktail featured 3 huge shrimp for $18. Wines by the glass were 12-25. Cocktails were $13-15 for nice sized Martinis. Service was intrusive and scattered.
We did not order entrees but steaks were $40-50 and they offered a poached 2 1/2 lb lobster for $55.
I will definitely go back as the apps were excellent.
I did not sample the $100 cheesesteak but it comes with a split of Veuve Cliquot. I asked if I could take one to go and they told me they were out of containers. Maybe next week. I made reservations for Wed night. Will report back
