Thought I'd do a quick recap of our meals in Spain by city, starting with our time in Barcelona . . .
TICKETS (Dinner, Saturday) was excellent! A lot of fun, good energy in the place among both the staff and the patrons. Lynn & I ordered a couple of specific dishes, and then turned over the ordering to our waiter, and we weren't disappointed -- everything was delightful. We had approx. 20 courses and two bottles of wine, and it was a great evening . . . .
CAN MAJO (Lunch, Sunday) was delightful. Sitting outside, near the water, this was our first meal with the group. Some musicians came by and played some traditional New Orleans jazz in honor of Susan Spicer, and we had a variety of seafood apps, shellfish paella, fiduea in squid ink, and more. Really good food, made all the nicer by the warmth of a late Spring day . . .
ALTA TABERNA PACO MERALGO (Dinner, Sunday) We took over two tables in the front of the restaurant, and were joined for dinner by Amèlia Artal of Cinc Sentits. Loads of tapas, all delicious, and flavorful.
RESTAURANT GRESCA (Lunch, Monday) was, in a word, superb! Got to sit next to Alèlia Artal, and had a good chance to speak with her about Spanish cuisine, but the meal here was innovative, exciting, delicious, and -- truly -- perfect. This was outstanding, and is definitely be on our list of places to return to!
