Barcelona in March (Mala Hierba - Tapas in Gracia - Sunday)

Hello!
My sister and I are treating our mother to a surprise weekend to Barcelona for her 60th (we won’t tell her until the airport hoho).
We´ll be there for March 8th - 10th, and are staying in Gracia.

In general we are looking for good value for money.

1) For the first night (we arrive at BCN around 8pm) we are looking for good tapas / pintxos / conservas in Gracia.

for some reason this will be my first time in Spain, so please excuse my question: I heard people eat quit late in Barcelona, still most tapas/pintxo places I looked at close around 23:00. will this be a problem?

I was considering: Bodega Costa Brava & Lata Berna for conservas, Barra Alta, Teòric Taverna Gastronòmica, La Panxa del Bisbe, Ikastola & Vermuteria Lou for Tapas/Pintxos

2) For saturday we´re opting for snacks around the city, and a proper „special“ dinner.

For dinner I was looking at Mala Hierba, but am open to different suggestions, since this might be our only „proper“ meal…
I´d love to hear if anybody has an opinion a la card vs tasting menu. - looking at their prices for 180 euros (3x60), we could order tons from their regular menu,
But I’m still tempted by the tasting menu idea…

3) Our flight on Sunday leaves at 9 pm, but I heard Barcelona can be slow on Sundays, and a lot of places I fund are closed. Any help here would be very much appreciated.
