Barca 18- not like anyone would go, but a review.

Ok- I am not a fan of Steve hansen's places in general, but seeing as I am in an industry where the business lunch is popular, I went there for lunch today.

First of all, if you have anything else planned for the day you go, go elsewhere- you would think with so many restaurants under his belt the service would have been better, but as part of our party was 9 minutes late, they gave away our table. Then once seated, with 3 menus for a party of 6 the waiter said he would check our coats and never returned. It took us 45 minutes to get drinks (non alcoholic) and about an hour and a half before the appetizers came out.

Everything was below average, only stand out was the potato and serrano ham croquettes, but really how can you screw that up?

The shrimp and lobster soup was watery, the paella bland and the lobster salad was sub par.

As cliched as a date spot and cheeze fest as it was, they never should have closed Park Avalon, I seriously would have been better satiated at McDonalds.
