Barbecue restaurants during the Super Bowl

ekrubnivek | Jan 27, 201810:45 PM     11

I'm visiting Austin Texas next week and I would love to try some of Austin's great barbecue restaurants. It's also the Super Bowl on Sunday. I was thinking barbecue places would be less crowded during the game. Is that likely to be true? I could easily imagine folks who don't care about football trying to take advantage of the opportunity, or people trying to score takeout ribs for a Super Bowl party.

Have you been out during the Super Bowl? Do you think restaurants will be more or less crowded during the game?

Another consideration is the game kicks off at 1:30pm which as I understand is late by BBQ standards, where the best BBQ might be served at 11 a.m.
