What's the best barbecue pork fried rice L.A. has to offer?

I grew up in Stamford Connecticut. Our neighborhood Chinese place was a little hole in the wall named HUNAN GARDEN. My family ate dinner there at least once a week for years.

When I was in high school they knocked HUNAN GARDEN down to build a Blockbuster Video. I was very upset then, and I'm upset now. I haven't had barbecue pork fried rice the way I like it since Die Hard III came out.

Yeah, I know barbecue pork fried rice is an Americanized dish. Yeah, I know CT isn't known for it's Chinese cuisine, but I still miss my "poe fry rye."

In the 8 years that I've lived in L.A. I haven't met HUNAN GARDEN'S match for Americanized New York style Chinese--The staff were bussed in each day from the City to work.

I don't want my barbecue pork fried rice healthy or gourmet; no zucchini, no pineapple, etc.

Does anyone have a favorite they can point me towards? I live in Studio City but I'll drive far. I've already got my Thomas Bros. guide and Carl Chu's book handy.

Thanks in advance,
