Bar for MidWestern Mom

So my mom (from Indiana) and I (from DC) are visiting and I'm looking for a wine bar (or regular bar with a decent wine list). Ideally, it would be a place that has wine flights or a good selection by the glass. We'd be going on a Saturday night, after 10pm.

Price in the $15-20/glass range, although we'd go a little above that.
Location: I think it's called "Murray Hill"? (Does anyone use this term??) Anyway, south of E42, north of E23, between 2nd Ave and Madison is about the range we'd like to be in.

The main issue is the my mom gets a little tweaked out by what I consider the normal, urban vibe, i.e, loud and crowded. Are there any places whose, I dunno, food is terrible so they're mostly empty, but the wine list is OK? (We are not looking to eat). Or places that are generally quiet, because they are not hip? Or quiet because they're tiny? I'd even go for "quiet-ish" - just not the normal shove-to-the-bar-and-get-jostled thing. We'd prefer to sit.

Thanks, NYC Chowhounds!
