My husband I have been trying to make it to Toronto more often so I have been making a point to get us into restaurants that peak my interest.
Unfortunately we couldn't make it for my birthday as I had planned. I had posted here for ideas on where to eat but couldn't use the recommendations at the time.
I have taken those recommendations and decided on George for a romantic birthday meal for him instead, coming up VERY soon.
I also have a reservation for Canoe during summerlicious its the only time I had available to make that happen.
I know summerlicious can be very hit or miss, but I really want to get to Canoe on this trip.
For a fun night with friends I decided on the Queen and Beaver, once again thanks to recommendations from Chowhounders.
The trip with george, canoe and queen and beaver is coming in a week and a half. I will update after I have gone to each restaurant :)
Sorry that was so long and generally off topic, I thought it may be helpful to state where else I will be eating, and what I have done with previous recommendations.
Onto the topic at hand, In August I have time for one meal out with my husband just the two of us.
As far as atmosphere is concerned, I am looking for fun, bustling, interesting crowd, so to speak. I don't want stuffy or romantic.
For food, I want something I am not going to get everywhere else.
I for sure would be trying the octopus if we went to Bar Isobel.
My husband is a meat and beer guy.
Is Bar Isobel the place I am hoping for?
Is maybe Richmond Station a better option?
