the bar at Cru

After work last night I was walking past Cru and craving a good glass of red wine. I am new to solo dining so I was nervouc about it and walked around the enterence looking for a posted menu. There was none, so I braved my anxieties and walked in to ask if I could see a bar menu. The host was very nice and immediatly mde me feel comfortible enough to take a seet at the bar.

It was great. The wines are offered by the half glass as well as whole so you can try different ones. The friendly bar tender helped me pick out a few wines (not the most expenive) and offered tastings of each before the glass was poored. He offered his opinion freely, which I liked.

He also suggested food for me and I had the sweet potatoe niocci (sp) which was SO GOOD and great with the chosen wine. I wasn't too hungry so that was enough food, but I was happy to linger at the plesent bar.

When it came to the check the bar tender told me he had comped the last glass of wine,.

It was a wonderful experiance for a solo dining novice, and I will definately go back.
