Few years ago went to a Rowland Heights food court and they had a type of dumpling I've never had before. They have the exterior of bao, but are filled with juicy ground pork and the bottoms are crispy kind of like potstickers. They are about the size of golf balls. My friend gets them for me in SGV when she's there. What are these called and can I get them in OC?
Picked up a Tri-Village menu in Irvine (Trabucco and Jeffrey) awhile ago and their menu references "Pan Fried Pork Buns- Pan-fried on the bottom. Handmade dough with ground seasoned pork." Wonder if that is what I'm looking for?
