A Brazilian place near Petticoat Lane, on Bell Lane.
Generous juices, made with either milk or water. Guava is pretty good, providing the nuances of the fruit's natural flavour. Possible that it's from frozen purée but forgot to ask.
Feijoada in the classic mold -- a centrepiece of the rich murky black bean stew, meaty and very slightly smoky, the gravy thick, the bean soft, and solid chunks of diverse meats and fat, given a wonderful sandy contrast from farofa/toasted manioc flour, and very nicely julienned collard greens/couve, thin, garlicky and shiny from olive oil. Great to have their chilli sauce, tangy and earthy and hot, as well as small lightly pickled Brazilian chillis to perk things up.
Probably one of the better versions I've had in London so far. Will have to come back to try other stuff, like their salagadinhos and other little snacks.
