Just got back from Thailand where I discovered the banana, maybe for the first time (grilled, rotied or just peeled!).
What is so amazingly good about Thai bananas that put the bananas we get here to shame? I thought that bananas ripened after they were picked so I don't think it's like they were tree-ripened. Is it a different variety? And is there somewhere I can get those bananas in the U.S.?
