A mention on the Boston board by Dax about Todd English's bread pudding recipe (made with challah) prompts me to suggest that the White Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding with Boozy Caramel Sauce in the Olives Dessert Table cookbook is unbelievably good. The banana bread alone is better than any banana bread I have ever had or made, and now that's the only recipe I use. One element seems to be lots of bananas and melted butter, but even more important is to beat the daylights out of the bananas with the sugar (like for a couple of minutes in the food processor or blender). I have only made the whole thing (all components) a couple of times because this dessert is really over the top, but if it sounds appealing to you, you've got to try it. It is fantastic.
