I cannot identify one of my favorite ban chans. It is a bunch of squarish rectangles, cut not very thick in a slightly sweet, lightly spicy, tan colored sauce. Sometimes a slice of jalapeno shows up with the rectangles also. They have a slight crunch and almost a woody texture. When I asked about what their English name was, I was told that they were from a radish, but clearly this is not daikon or any other radish that I know about. Can someone tell me what this dish is?
