Bamix immersion blender splashes on wall

blustery | Mar 16, 201512:12 PM     21

I recently purchased a Bamix immersion blender and enjoy using it mostly for soups. Yesterday, I noticed tons of reddish spots (I puree tomato soup a lot) on the painted kitchen wall which so far I cannot remove. I live in a rented apartment so cannot put up tile. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent the splashing. I use a 4.5 all-clad soup pot, do not want a gigantic soup pot. Also, any suggestions for removing spots on wall. I have pictured pinning up paper on the walls when using IB, but what a hassle. Perhaps the Bamix does not have quite the same shield as an all-clad IB and this could be the reason.

Suggestions appreciated.
