I received a Bamboo Cutting board from a friend and they gave it to me based on Cooks Illustrated recommendation. My question is how do I keep the board in good condition and sanitarily sound.
Is one type of (food safe) mineral oil better than another? I've seen some mixed with bee's wax. Should I soak the board first to open the pores and then put the oil on? Do I put the oil on and leave it or put it on and wipe it off?
Suggestions and experience wanted. I believe the board I have is labeled as "Congo" It is an end grain board.
