I have trekked up and down Smith trying places like Tuk-Tuk, FAAN, Mancora, etc. We decided to try Baluchis which I thought was an Italian place. My wife and I have tried the food and found it to be very good. Not being well versed in Indian cuisine, but found on each of the two occasion, the bread "Nan" was excellent and fresh..the Lamb Kebabs were not too spicy however the Shrimp curry was exceptional. What was interesting though was the 1/2 price lunch up to 3pm which came as a pleasant surprise.....they appear to be expanding further into Brooklyn as well as NYC. Is this place considered too trendy, too American or too mainstream for the board?.
Just want to hear opinions/experiences !
