I don't know if this will pass through the Chowhound monitor(s)--but was curious to know everyone's opinion as to the selection of restaurants in this March issue of "Baltimore Magazine."
Just my opinion--but I sometimes believe that the voting is based on what people think about a restaurant based on their readings of magazines and the local newspaper--yet they have never actually dined at the restaurant.
Not to be negative towards "Baltimore Magazine"--which I actually read cover-to-cover and truly enjoy. But, I seem to believe that all of you Chowhounds are much more selective and discriminating in your choices and actual dining out experiences. You don't seem to be influenced by trends or the opinions of others or the media.
Hope I'm not coming off sounding snobby. I am very humble--hey--I occasionally drive up to McDonald's and order off of the "Dollar Menu."
I haven't dined out at any of the "
newer" restaurants lately and am looking for suggestions as to my best
option(s)--just to by-pass my comfort zone of the old standbys--e.g.-Tio Pepe's, Flemings- Oregon Grille-Sotto Sopra-Prime Rib-and lesser pricey venues. Always--thanks for all of your input. FoiGras
