I have a dinner reservation in a few weeks at Balthazar. I've read some of the threads about this place and would appreciate your quick from-the-hip hits and misses on the menu....
A couple questions... Does anyone know how their bar steak differs from their steak frites? I won't be ordering it but someone in my party might.
Their wine list is so extensive it overwhelms me. Only a couple of us, at most will be drinking cocktails and champagne... Any rec's in those categories? Do they have any special signature concotions worth sampling?
I didn't see their dessert menu online so any recs from that area would be especially welcome as well. This is a very special occasion...so much thanks in advance!
