Baldinger's Foods From All Nations in Butler County - Best Candy Store in America?

Being back home reminds how great a treasure Baldinger's candy store is. Located on Route 19 in Jackson - about halfway between Cranberry Township and Zelienople - this candy/imported foods store has been keeping my dentist in business for over a quarter of a decade - and I think they've been open for nearly 80 years...

Anyways, if you haven't been - you need to go. Not only do they have an amazing assortment of penny candy (try the Mexican plastic-wrapped Pixie-stick like sugar shockers), but they also import some serious foods from various parts of Europe. (Lots of Streudel mixes, some decent Austrian and Swiss specialties, etc.) And, to top it off, they stock oddball faves such as fried grasshoppers and chocolate-covered ants.

It's probably about a twenty-five minute drive out of Pittsburgh along 279 and well worth the trip.
