I've been baking with prune and empress plums since childhood, but never with the round plums that I think of as 'eating' plums. However, I just got a quart of little round plums, each a little bigger than a ping-pong ball, from my CSA. I don't think I'll be able to eat all of them myself, but are they good for baking? I'm not sure how to neatly get them off the pit, and they seem wetter than a prune plum. If not for baking, should I attempt to cook with them?
