A friend has invited me to make a Swedish cardamom braid for her annual holiday smorgasbord. She is of Swedish descent and has old memories of her grandmother's. She also has newer memories of last year's wonderful bread from a Swedish bakery.
I've never baked one of these, but have lots of experience with enriched, eggy, braided breads from my frequent challah baking.
Can someone recommend an authentic and excellent recipe? Any tips?
As she told me, she has "expectations." I don't want to let her down.
