Bakery for scones in Portland

Janie | Jun 30, 2005 02:50 PM

I'm still pining over the apricot scones I had in bakery in Portland like 5 years ago. I'd love to try to find the place again!

What I remember:
1)It was on a very quiet cobblestone street--maybe closed to cars? I think I remember someone waiting in the car a block away when I picked up some stuff
2) Not really in the Old Port area-- I was on my way out of town at the time
3) Tiny place, when you walk in some of the goods are in baskets or trays by the front window.
4) Super good dried apricot scones, but I think their specialty was some kind of apple bread, which sells out early in the day.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?
If so and you can point me there for my visit next week...
