Bakerman's Bakery ( Downtown Austin)

I haven't been on here for awhile..but I thought I'd pop in and give you guys and gals the skinny on a new place...

A few weeks ago a new bakery opened up near my office. Bakerman's Bakery sells doughnuts (good variety), croissants, breakfast sandwiches, cakes and cookies.

I've wandered in there about 6 times, and I've been fairly impressed. I've tried their apple fritter (a little dry, but tasty), the raspberry-filled long-john (excellent), doughnut-holes (yummy), apple-filled (they drill the hole in the top so the filling is concentrated in the middle), and today I finally decided to just try the classic glazed. It was delicious.

A co-worker swears by their maple-covered doughnuts.

If you happen to be around 7th and Brazos at any time you should definaely stop in and try it out.
Their address is 120 E. 7th Street..and they are a block east of Congress Avenue on Seventh.. a few doors down from Mike's Pub (home of the great greasy burger n' fries) and across the street from the Driscoll. is their Web address.

Happy Friday.
