Bakeries in Seattle

Thanks to all the many people who replied to me about finding a bakery in Seattle to order a Thanksgiving cake. Most of the bakeries I called would not be opened on Thanksgiving day for me to pick up the cake and I was not arriving in Seattle till late Wednesday night. But I was successful in finding a bakery that came highly recomended - Evangeline's.

I can not praise Evangeline's and the cake they made enough. I ordered a four layer devils food cake. Between the center layers was a bittersweet choclate mouse and between the other layers was a praline mixture. The outside frosting on the cake was choclate fudge decorated with marzipan maple leaves. After a magnificent Thanksgiving meal people looked at the cake and all requested a very small piece but after tasting it managed to find room for maybe just a little more. After tasting the cake my eyes rolled back in my head from sher delight.
