baked eggs and liver mousse

hlbones | Jan 16, 2008 05:13 AM

I'd bought a slice of liver mousse for cocktails, and had some leftover. So for breakfast the next day I took a tiny (half cup, I think) ramekin, put a couple of tablespoons of the mouse
in the bottom, cracked an egg on top, added a couple teaspoons half&half (I'd have preferred cream, but even so...) and a sprinkle of pepper, and baked it in a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Zowie!!! For a fancy brunch, I bet you could stick some liners in a muffin tin and make a dozen of 'em, easy as..pie.
