Bahama Breeze - Towson

Kok | Apr 26, 2004 01:30 PM

After many, many months of wanting to try Bahama Breeze (Joe H. - thanks for the name reminder), I finally made it to Towson last Friday.

We started off with a Mojito (pretty good with lots of mint) and the house Margarita. The shtick at Bahama Breeze is to serve the Margaritas with an extra shot glass of tequila piggy-backing on the glass. A pretty good Margarita on a very extensive drink list.

The hilight of lunch was the Coconut Prawns appetizer. If you go to Bahama Breeze, you MUST get the coconut prawns. Very large shrimp in a sweet but not sickening coconut batter. Excellent, and served right out of the fryer. Had I known the chicken sandwich and grilled chicken caesar salad would be so non-descript, we would have ordered 4 or 5 of the prawn apps.

While the service was good, if a little slow, and some of the dishes I saw brought to other tables did look good, I don't think Bahama Breeze would be a place I'd go out of my way to try again. But if I was in proximity, I'd be there often for those coconut prawns.
