Hello helpful chowhounds! Can anyone recommend a good baguette (sweet, not sourdough) somewhere along my commute - Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Santa Cruz/Capitola/Soquel? Manresa bread in Los Gatos maybe? In Santa Cruz, I have liked the ones from Companion best so far, but a bit dark with a very thick crust. Also $6 a piece! Others I've tried in SC - Kelly's, Gayle's, Sumano's. I go up to Palo Alto occasionally, so I could even stop somewhere close to 280. I'm looking for a replacement for the wonderful baguettes from the Canyon Market in our old neighborhood in Glen Park in SF.
