I have recently purchased "made-in-Italy" Foodsaver machine by Tilia. The actual name is VacuSave and it is of a channel type, not a usually nozzle type.
I have read quite a bit of form posts by Tom34 about those old Tilia sealers and I wanted to thank him for giving so much to the community, his comments were always very informative and helpful.
I just wanted to ask a few questions:
1. What is best source of bags for channel vacuum sealers? I know Tom34 recommends Vacustrip bags for nozzle machines, but do they work equally well for channel type ones?
2. Can the same maintenance techniques be applied to channel machines? E.g. few drops of water & armorall into air intake hole while running the pump to lube it? or armorall on channel gaskets?
