Bagels - Phoenix Area

I'm Jewish, so it's part of my genetic make-up to argue about who has the best bagles...among other things that we argue about. Even worse, I'm married to someone from the east coast and she knows her bagels and has very strong opinions. I've been going to a bagel place in the shopping center in Scottsdale at the NE corner of Hayden and Frank Lloyd Wright. It's called Big City Bagels and has - in my opinion - the best bagel in town. Way better than Kashmans, Chompies, or New York Bagels and Bialys. Not sure why this place isn't busier. They also make a mean sandwich...the roast beef sandwish is HUGE and delicious, same with the whitefish sandwich.

I just had lunch there today and was reminded of how good it is and thought I'd share it with my fellow Hounds. As the chains (Einstein's, etc) continue to infiltrate the bagel world, this independent place passes muster. Worth a try. The two guys that own it couldn't be nicer and deserve to succeed.
