bad treatment at Hikaru Manayunk

After being a loyal customer for 20 years at both Hikaru locations (south 2nd and main st.), the other day I was shocked to be perfectly mistreated by the staff.
We ordered the sushi for two platter, but kindly asked that an avocado roll be substituted for the cucumber roll. I told the waitress I would pay extra. I saw on the menu that the difference was only one dollar. No big deal, right? Make the customer happy, right? Emphatically no. I was then dressed down by the waitress, the maitre d', and the manager as to why I was absolutely wrong and that they would in no way be unable to accommodate my outrageous request.
Talk about penny-wise and pound foolish. It would have been at no cost to them to make the simple substitution. I can almost understand if I were asking for something obviously more expensive, like a tuna roll. They said if they made the substitution for me, they have to make it for everyone. I looked around. We were the only ones in the restaurant! Where were all these other customers clamoring for avocado rolls?
I told them they'd be losing a customer. No matter. Now they've lost my business as well as the business of my friends.
