At one of my favorite restaurants the other night and ordered a martini, specifying Bluecoat and Dolin, 3:1, one olive but not dirty. They were out of Dolin dry and subbed Dolin blanc. Yuck. Tasted like a martini with one part simple syrup. I’ve read others saying they like Dolin blanc in a martini. If they like it, that’s ok with me, but it sure didn’t seem like a martini!
