Bad Experience at Cafe Essin in San Ramon

MH | Jun 10, 200309:28 PM

Okay, I've seen some postings here about Cafe Essin is recommended for good eats in San Ramon... My husband and I decided to try the place since we live a mile away and we've read a good review about it on the paper a few months back. We got there after at around 7:30PM. We were seated at around 7:45PM okay - so far so good. We had a horrible server who has black hair and with some kind of accent. First off, she was hard to understand, second, she took long to take our order... We finally get our order in at 8:15PM. half an hour after we sat down. Not that it was busy at the time we were there but she just didn't do her job. She never came back to fill our drinks or explain why it was taking so long for our dinner. She just kept passing us by. After an hour of wait, I gestured for her to come to our table and ask why our food was taking so long. She just said "wait" then leaves - Our food finally came at 9:45PM!!!! It was ridiculous because we were really hungry when we got there at 7:30! When the food was served - I noticed that our food was COLD as if it has been sitting out for a long time. To make it worse, the food was horrible!!!!!! The owner of the restaurant Esin was at the bar. We were so upset and told her about our bad experience and that we were just going to leave. We ended up eating at TGIF next door. We insisted that we pay for what we had but she offered to pay for the bill. That was the only good thing about it. Stay away from the girl waitress that has black hair with an accent! She's a piece of work!!!!
