I like to have backup gravy on hand in case the home made runs out or runs into problems. Last years choice, from Wegmans was dreadful. Can anyone recommend something that is better than it. As a matter of comparison I do not like Heinz one bit as it is too salty. Wegmans was just devoid of flavor.
This year I am making gravy separately from the bird as I am brining the bird, and do not trust the juices coming out of it. I will be roasting turkey legs, with veggies, deglazing the pan, make broth with the meat and bones, then thickening. I may even roast the giblets with the turkey legs and throw them in.
