Ate here post-theatre the other night. Very rich but tasty saltcod and crab mixture, Underdone (they needed another half minute or so to firm up) and not very flavorful mussels which had an odd burnt quality as though someone had deliberately torched the dish.

I requested my quail not be rare. The 2 little birds arrived blood-rare, but, once they were cooked more, were really delicious. Pretty good chunk of stuffing on the side and very good cranberry sauce.

Ribeye was a disappointment: cooked rare rather than medium rare, though that was not the problem, it was devoid of the texture and flavor that makes this cut usually one of the best. But you can't make a silk purse out of a too-young steer.

Bill with 1 2-oz (delish) Ferrari-Carano Sauv. Blanc and a glass of Brandborg Charbono and 3 Sierra Nevada, came to 107 with tax.

The music was good, the service competent.
